I worked as a graphic designer at Gamestop within the Marketing department as part of the design team I was tasked with – creating and editing assets for the Irish and Nordic markets. High attention to detail was very important as was being fast with my workload as deadlines and what was required often changed to meet vendor and market needs. I created email newsletters, blog posts, print collateral for stores, web banners and in house marketing material. I also helped produce a few in-house videos for social media avenues.
The marketing department who dealt with all print and web advertising for Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. No day was the same! it was a fast paced environment with a great team and strong work ethic. One of the many lessons I’ll take from my time at Gamestop was how all departments under one roof work together towards shared goals. I believe I’ve become a better graphic designer due to the healthy habits picked up by some of the great people there.
